A Personal Message from Rose Carol, Founder of Ayurveda Amritanam Learning Center

Why do I offer this Ayurveda Health Coach Training Program? I created this Ayurveda training program so that anyone can enjoy the health benefits of Ayurveda and share it professionally.  I believe that preventive health education is a missing key in our culture and I wanted to share what’s worked for myself and my clients to not only prevent illness but utilize the spiritual component of Ayurveda  by going much deeper – expanding consciousness and enlivening healing pranic life energy.  I organized the most relevant and pertinent material that I have learned about Ayurveda since 1988, after taking many years of classes (and I still continue classes with Dr Raju),  and mentoring with various teachers, including an 18 year mentorship with Vaidya Ramakant Mishra,  giving Ayurveda bodywork panchakarma treatments for over thirty years, and hundreds of patient educational sessions. I saw what worked and didn’t with my patients/clients and self.  So I organized the most precious gems of this life time learning, and here in the course is the nectar of this divine knowledge which is practical and applicable in daily life.

Clients come to Ayurveda hoping to just feel better, they may be tired and stressed, or suffer from sleep issues, constipation, headaches, inflammation, weight issues, and overwhelm. What they really need is to get on track with lifestyle, diet, a cleanse/detox and herbal remedies.  They need to learn how to meditate correctly so that it  produces a deep state of relaxation. They need to be heard and nurtured.  So I reviewed the most important healing and effective tools that I learned  and created a sequence of these weekly classes that is easy to understand, so people can see the results even from the first few days of trying them.   I also share what it’s like having an Ayurveda practice business side of things – what works what doesn’t. I can tell you that there can be many challenges since Ayurveda is not licensed in the USA nor do many people know what it is. I also show you how to overcome these barriers in this course.

To be transparent, studies show completing online education  programs like this can be challenging, because life happens and  it’s so easy to get behind in watching the videos and doing the homework.  I would like to see you succeed in this program so I have included monthly  personal checks ins by either zoom sessions, or if in the Chicago area in person. We can also connect by email each week. I  encourage you to use the Ayurveda journal/workbook to write in daily,  tracking your progress, and observing what are the challenges are in regards to diet and lifestyle, setting intention and realistic goals in small steps.   I also include doing an Ayurveda intake with recommendations as part of this personalized study program  so that you can apply Ayurveda to your daily living.  My hope is  this will help motivate you to your own personal goals to complete the course – and gain maximum benefit. You are your first patient, know yourself, heal yourself and from there you can heal and help your loved ones and offer Ayurveda as a professional lifestyle and nutrition counselor/coach.

Importance of having a personal and professional mentor

I have observed many other Ayurveda Schools offer expensive programs in which  many of the students feel lost after they graduate.  One reason is due to information overload.  They wonder, how they will apply a 1 or 3  year program of information into a 1 hour intake session with a client?  There’s an art and science to applying this knowledge into real life Ayurveda coaching. I have created a program that is integrative so you won’t get lost in the process. We begin to practice intake with recommendations on basic doshic imbalances starting from module 5.  And in modules 1 to 4 you apply it on yourself with diet, cleansing, herbs, and lifestyle practices.  This helps the knowledge become alive and applicable right away. It takes many practice sessions to get it all down, so we practice case studies either one to one or in a small group to practice. They are also included in every video class starting on module 5.  This is a self pace program so don’t let this part be intimidating, the only way to gain confidence is to practice on family and friends and use me as your guide. It took me many years to feel confident to lead intakes and give recommendations, even though I had the knowledge, I lacked the confidence.  It wasn’t until I had met my teacher, Vaidya Mishra that I had started to feel bold enough to offer them independently.  It was due to his personal encouragement that I felt I could be helpful to others.  So we all need support while we are embarking on something new.  After you graduate from our program we offered continued support with monthly case consultations in our Ayurveda community.

This personalized approach that I received from Vaidya Mishra is what I I offer in this to the training course – personal guidance, mentorship, support, knowledge whether it’s ancient vedic knowledge, learning how to meditate or it’s business, marketing, or overcoming personal blocks, fears,  and barriers. This is a place to grow, and you are free to express yourself in your own unique way.
