Crunchy Okra and Bitter Melon Chips

 

Okra binds toxins  in blood, liver and muscle tissue and Bitter Melon purifies the blood,  liver, and pancreas, also helps balance sugar.

Ingredients:

3 Okra Pods cut into thin slices

4 or 5 inch bitter melon cut into thin slices, and deseeded.

2 teaspoon melted ghee

soma salt to taste

1 teaspoon mum’s masala or if you are pitta, add 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander, 1/8 t. of fennel, and 1/8 teaspoon of tumeric

lime juice (optional)

In a bowl, place thin cut vegetables. Toss with melted ghee,spices and soma salt

Spread  evenly on a greased baking pan. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes or  until they are dehydrated and crispy.  Remove from pan and sprinkle with  lime juice.  Enjoy as a snack or side with lunch or dinner.
